It's been a long year+

Hello all you beautiful people! It’s been a minute but trust me, I have an excuse! (well, multiple, so let’s get into it). 🤗

Where I’ve Been

For the past two years (as a school teacher, I measure years not by calendar but by school days), I was working at this horribly oppress school where I was so busy and worn out that I had no time to relax, let alone be creative. It was very hard for me to keep up with everything author-wise and teacher-wise at the same time so unfortunately, my favorite hobby had to take a back seat. However!!!! This year (aka September 2024), I started at a new school and my work-life-balance has done a complete 180. I finally had time AND energy to devote to my writing after work. So much so that I’ll slide us into the next section…

What I’m Writing

I am so so so happy to be releasing the first book of my Campus Love Series on June 3rd! This book (Ink & Ambition) has been bouncing around in my brain for over 3 years and I am so unbelievably ready to release it to the world and you beautiful people. The novel follows journalism major Margot Davis as she embarks on the journey to win a New York Times internship competition. When she realizes that she’ll need to enlist the help of the most popular, most cocky, most irresistible guy on campus, Alex Prescott, Margot worries if their extremely opposite personalities will collide in fireworks or tears. She’ll do whatever it takes to win, even if means appeasing the frat boy.

I mean, is this cover not completely incredible!

Who I’m Crushing On (fictional & otherwise)

Alex Prescott might be the hottest guy I’ve ever written (which is an odd sentence to say out loud, but let’s go with it). He’s charismatic, loyal, easygoing, flirty (to a fault). He’s also sensitive, observant and he loves fitness! At the university he attends with Margot, Alex is an exercise science major but you find out in the book that, unfortunately, he has no plans to use that degree (whether he wants to or not). I really enjoyed writing Alex and, I mean, look at that cover!! HE’S GORGEOUS!

Also, I suppose I should add that while I was insanely busy with work the past couple years, I was also planning a wedding. 🤭 Totally geeking out on my new husband, too. I’ll even share a pic, because that day was incredible.
