Hello my beautiful people,
Well, here we are. In the homestretch. Less than a week until the release of Ink & Ambition. I still can’t believe this book has come to be what it is. If you guys saw the first draft (and some of you might have) you would be shocked to see the progress that was made. Lemme just say, there was a totally different ending that make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
But that’s what writing is, right? You need to put the bad words down on paper so that you can turn them into good words. You can’t edit a blank page. And this book underwent the most edits I think I’ve ever done (which also makes it the best book I’ve written so far—not a brag, a fact at this point.) With each book I write, I get better and better with my craft (there’s the brag—and a glowing endorsement for my next books).
I have so many people to thank for this book (and for my writing career in general). I could go on and on but there will never be enough words. I’ve made so many unexpected friendships while on this journey and if nothing else, I’m incredibly grateful for that. The amount of unexpected people who have come out and supported me is overwhelming. I wouldn’t be here doing this today if it wasn’t for you.
I’m excited to work on the next book in the series (it’s already got about 10k words) but I’ll admit I’m having a little bit of trouble letting Alex and Margot go. Danika and Arden are very special characters but they are both hugely different from the main couple in I & A. I’ve spent so many months inside Alex and Margot’s minds, I feel like I have to do a brain reset to get into book 2 mode. Maybe a nice vacation would do the trick? Maybe a…honeymoon? In Ireland? In July? Sounds like the perfect idea! 😚
Thanks, loves! Same time, next week? 😘
I Love how 100% vested you are in every book you write!! So excited to jump in to this new book and start my Easter Egg list. Love you!!
